MNG by Mango Top / Forever 21 Vest / Target Pants  / Shoemint Sandals

Thursdays are usually my days I sleep in. (Note: sleeping in is usually until 5:30am) I heard the alarm but turned it off and wanted to snooze for 5 more minutes. Yeah, 5 minutes turned into an hour and a half. WTF! I got up in a hurry, brushed my teeth, washed my face, brushed my hair & pinned back my bangs, & got dressed as fast as I could. I came out of my closet with this outfit in 3.5 seconds. I honestly didn't even know what the hell I was wearing or didn't even remember if I put deodorant on. I did, I checked. haha! I'm really impressed on how this came out. I need to wear these pants more often because they are so comfy!

Oh & I'm sporting the guns again. That's 'arms' for you folks. I guess I'm becoming a little more brave showing them off. Hell, I can deadlift 125 freaking lbs! I'm proud of that!

Have a good day! :)

Target Dress / Charming Charlie Necklace / Jessica Simpson Sunnies / Guess Watch

Boy has the weather changed drastically since last week! It has been in the 80s this week & it's HOT! This maxi dress is just the perfect piece to wear for days like today. And you know it's got to be hot when
I'm showing my arms because I hate showing my arms! We all know black and white is on trend this season (when is it not?!) so I decided to pair this comfy dress with this gorgeous pink bauble necklace from Charming Charlie. It's the perfect pop of pink!

Hope you all are doing well!!

Neon & Green

Old Navy Sequin Top / Marshalls Jeans / Shoedazzle Pumps

Hey chicas! I have been crazy busy the last few days. This weekend was definitely NON-stop. I have weekend classes but I promised my mom that I would make it to San Antonio this year for my grandpas 85th birthday dinner so I bought a round-trip flight to SA. I got there at 6pm and was on my way back home to Dallas at 6am. I was gone for a total of 12 hours! lol I had to make sure that I didn't miss a minute of class because these express classes are just three weekends long and it's crucial that I don't miss anything. And of course, I was up at 4:15am Monday morning for my workout. I ended up leaving work early and slept the entire day away. It was blissful! Sometimes all you need are a few hours of sleep and it was definitely what I was lacking.

I had this outfit on last week and never got around to posting it. I love these silver heels but they ended up giving me a blister on my left ankle. :( Any help on how to prevent that? They are super cute & I'd hate to put them away just for that.

Hope you all are having a great week!

Fitness Friday: What to Wear

When you get into an exercise routine, who doesn't know what to wear? I didn't! I've had my share of what fits and what doesn't when it comes to fitness apparel. I'm even still experimenting with different things I find. But for basics and my go-to's here are some of my picks for workout gear. I tend to lean towards black colors for fitness apparel because I think of it like this...

The first thing I want to mention is a sports bra. Girls, please be kind to your boobies and give them the support they need. I didn't realize this until I bought this sports bra and it changed my entire life and even workout regime. This Moving Comfort 'Juno' bra is the bomb.com. No lie. It holds the girls in place and they don't move, especially with girls with a bigger chest. As a former big boobie girl, I know all the horrors that come with buying a bra, let alone a sports bra (I used to have to wear a regular bra and 2 sports bras...TWO!). The bra ranges from 30C to 40DD. Before purchasing this bra, I wore regular ones from Target or Walmart. Do yourself and your "girls" a favor and get this one or any Moving Comfort bra. They're all amazing!!

As for tops, I usually wear a black tee or tank. Preferably one with a bad ass saying to make me feel more like a BA! haha! I especially prefer the dri-fit material.

I prefer to wear compression pants or leggings. Shorts are not my thing, especially when running. My thighs chafe together and it's so annoying (and hurts like hell!). I like my butt and bottom parts tight in some compression pants or leggings. It makes me feel more secure. I'm not particular in the brand. I usually buy mine from Academy, Under Armour, Walmart, or Lady Foot Locker.

I don't spend a lot of money on shoes because I mostly wear them for training. As far as running, I would go get fitted for running shoes at your local running store. Warning: they can be quite expensive but they are worth it. Your feet deserve comfort too. Especially if you're a runner. Since I train a lot more than running, these are the shoes I use. They are New Balance Training Shoes. They are light and comfortable and get the job done.

And just for the cute factor, I love adding a cute non-slip hair band from LishyBands. All the headbands are SO cute!! I have a couple pair and they are very durable and definitely DO NOT slip. I've had the store bought ones specifically for workouts and they ALWAYS slip. Not these. Try them!

Lightweight Tunic

H&M Tunic / Payless Sandals / Nordstrom Sunnies

How cute is this tunic? Recently purchased it from H&M for $15. I don't know why but I have been more and more into tops that look like dresses. It was at the front of the store and I was immediately drawn to it with the gorgeous print. This tunic is so lightweight and comfortable, I'm sure it will be used a lot this season. My sandals are a very old purchase from Payless many years ago. They're the rubber material like many regular flip flops. I love the jewel stones on them so it makes them a little cute.
